Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will support financial operations by preparing schedules, reviewing invoices, and assisting with reconciliations. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Excel schedules of expenses for invoice preparation.
• Review accounts and invoices to identify and resolve variances.
• Follow up with sponsors via calls and emails to collect outstanding payments.
• Identify and address expenses charged to expired grant accounts.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with reconciliations and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; basic knowledge of Outlook and Word .

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of accounting or finance experience (internships included).

Education:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management (required).
