HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bristol, Tennessee.

Job Description & Requirements

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel

Description:

• Schedule: 36-hour schedule
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Call: None
• Floating: To other units as needed
• Patient ratio: 1:7 (must be pre-closed on this ratio before submission)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Certifications: AHA BLS required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility

Orientation:

• Begins on Sundays (online CBLs)
• Traveler may start any Sunday once compliance documents are completed by the deadline

Scheduling Notes:

• The hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty due to census decrease (applies to 36/36 or 36/48 schedules per employment agreement)
• Additional shifts picked up beyond scheduled hours may be flexed as needed without penalty for census or resource changes

Additional Responsibilities:

• Contract RN/LPN team members are expected to support nursing student education alongside patient care responsibilities.
• Active participation in mentoring and preparing future nurses is an essential part of the role at Ballad Health.
